University Resort has been a community-led effort, started by me, Harrison Magun, a Tucson short-term rental owner and father of a U of A student (now grad!). As an active member of the Tucson STR community and as a parent involved in several U of A family groups, I became aware of two things: Hosts were looking to connect with more great guests, and U of A families and alumni often struggled to find the right vacation homes that met their needs. 

What began as a simple Google sheet of Tucson short-term rentals quickly got traction across both hosts and U of A families. After a lot of input from both these groups, University Resort was born.

The current site launched as a pilot in September 2024 and as the demand from hosts and U of A families grew,  I built this member portal.  to collect membership fees to support the site operations and paid marketing, and to create community features.
